Event Description As reported in PC Gamer, during an investor meeting on August 4, Wilson said that Preview Packs contributed to "an an increase in buy FUT 22 Coins participation", as well as "a more efficient conversion rate of people who have spent."

"It was dropping towards the final stretch of the season so some of this information should be taken into that light, but the team is determined to continue to innovating in and around the offerings and programs we develop for our players and believe that we can continue to grow the business in the future," he added.

The Preview Packs were released in Ultimate Team in June, which allows players to view what's included in each package prior to making a decision to purchase. This change was introduced in response to numerous pressures from different groups such as governments, children's welfare groups, and gambling charities, as studies have revealed the connection between loot boxes and gambling.

But, knowing the contents of the loot boxes include allows players to make an informed choice on whether they want to commit to spend money. Ironically, it appears this is actually leading to increased profits for EA.

"What we found with the Preview Packs was an increase in the number of new players coming into Ultimate Team, and we saw a higher conversion of those players about purchasing packs and engaging in FIFA 22 Coins the digital ecosystem," said Wilson."Our teams are going to continue to look for interesting inventive, exciting and creative ways for people to get more involved through the platform, and Preview Packs is one of those examples."
